An Executive Desk commissioned by and for Goldwasser Rare Books of San Francsico.

Goldwasser Rare Books Command Center

Another tasty piece of furniture featuring Formica Ligna®'s unique style 4415, "Armagnac". Bullnose is Eastern Soft Maple saturated in Watco Natural Danish Oil
and sprayed with six coats of Deft Clear Satin.
For the retro-futuristic touch, ebonite control knobs stand in for pulls & levelers.

This turned out to be the first of two pieces we've done for the Collection of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas A. Goldwasser, of San Francisco, CA.

As often with our designs, a wire race below one or another edge of the furniture serves as a structural member. In the first photo or the second row, below,
the race's doors are hanging open; in the next photo, they're closed, secured by a modest keyed camlock.
Closed, the race serves conceals much of the snarl of wires -- plug strips, CAT 5, USB & phone cables, etc.-- common to any modern office.
The photos also show a file drawer stack. A pencil drawer hangs beneath the left corner of the desktop.

The desk top and modesty panel arcs were burned by a laser, which device traced paths generated by an Electronics Furniture CAD file.
Grommets supplied by Doug Mockett, Inc. They're of wood, and we finished them just like we finished the bullnose.
